Dear Section Members,

I am pleased to circulate the first newsletter for the SLS cyberlaw section this year.

(1)    SLS reminder:  The SLS Cyberlaw Section Annual Meeting will take place at the University of Edinburgh on the 5th and 6th September 2013. The deadline for abstract submission is on the 15th March 2013. More information is available at http://cyberlawsection.wordpress.com/.

(2)    New appointment and job vacancies: Professor Christopher Marsden is moving to the University of Sussex in April and he is announcing a vacancy at Assistant Professor level (and several more at Associate): http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/AGA987/senior-lecturer-in-intellectual-property-law-media-law/. (3)    Event: A workshop on ‘Social Media, Regulation and Freedom of Expression: A comparative
perspective’ organized by Hong Kong Baptist University Hong Kong and Tsinghua University Communication & Visual Arts Building will take place at Hong Kong Baptist University in Hong Kong on the 23rd and 24th  May 2013. The deadline for abstract submission is on the 1st April 2013 viajourworkshop@hkbu.edu.hk  for the attention of Dr Yik Chan Chin.
