SLS Contract, Commercial and Consumer Section: Call for Papers by 4 March 2013
The next SLS Annual Conference will be held at the University of Edinburg from 3rd to 6th September 2012.
The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Britain in Europe, Europe in Britain’. I would welcome papers on any aspect of contract, commercial and consumer law, including ones which address this year’s theme as well as those which do not. The invitation extends to all of members of the Section, from research students and early career academics to senor colleagues.
If you would like to give a paper at this conference, would you please contact me with a title and indicative abstract (maximum 150 words, indicating the broad thrust of your proposed paper) by 12pm on Monday 4th March 2013. These can be sent to me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are offering more than one paper tat the conference, please let me know. This is to able better planning. It does not mean that individuals are not allowed to resent more than one paper. Please note that, as is the case each year, All speakers must book and pay to attend the conference (as do convenors !) it is hoped that speakers will provide a paper for the paperbank by mid-August to enable attendees to read the papers in advance of the conference.
Finally, just to remind you that the SLS offers a ‘Best Paper Prize’ Further details will be published at http://www.legalscholars.ac.uk/conference/index.cfm
This year, the SLS is introducing the presentation of the research posters, which will be displayed in the Great Hall. There is also a best poster prize. Details may be found on the SLS web site: http://www.legalscholars.ac.uk/conference/index.cfm.
I look forward to receiving the usual healthy harvest of proposals for this popular section.
