Call for papers on Intellectual Property for the 2013 Society of Legal Scholars Annual Conference.

SLS Intellectual Property Section – Call for Papers 2013

Dear Intellectual Property Section Member

I am delighted to issue the first Call for Papers for the Intellectual Property Section at the Society of Legal Scholars’ Annual Conference 2013. The conference will run from 3rd to 6th September 2013 at the University of Edinburgh. This year the Intellectual Property Section is in Group A, being held on 3rd and 4th September. Papers on any aspect of Intellectual Property law are welcome, including those reflecting the Conference Theme, "Britain and Ireland in Europe, Europe in Britain and Ireland.”

The sessions are friendly, informative and constructive. We encourage submissions from research students and early career academics as well as established academics.

The conference organisers would like to have the basic programme identified for the middle of March. If you wish to offer a paper please provide me with a provisional title and a brief outline, up to 300 words, by Monday 4th March. If your paper is accepted a formal title and abstract will be needed by the end of July. You do not have to provide a full text but speakers are encouraged to submit a written paper to the Paperbank so that it can be read before the presentation. Written papers can be submitted to the Best Paper prize. Details may be found on the SLS web site (http://www.legalscholars.ac.uk/index.cfm)

If you are offering more than one paper at the conference, please let me know to enable better planning and avoid clashes.

I have been asked to remind you that speakers have to register and pay the appropriate fees for the conference.

If you wish to offer a paper, please reply to me directly at c.f.howell@aston.ac.uk.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best wishes

Claire Howell
